Mosab Hassan Yousef: “Your University CANCELED Me—But Let Hamas SPEAK on Campus” Mosab Hassan Yousef and I don’t just share similar names—Hassan/Hazan—we also find ourselves in Montreal confronting the same threat: pan-Arab imperialism. Mosab's story is extraordinary. Born in Ramallah to one of Hamas's founding families, he was imprisoned by Israel at 18, witnessed the brutality of terror from within, and ultimately became a double agent for the Shin Bet, saving countless lives by exposing and preventing terrorist attacks. He is known globally as the “Son of Hamas.” My own family's history mirrors the same ideological threat. We are among the one million Jews expelled from Arab lands, victims of antisemitism and imperialist Arab nationalism. Today, that same hatred has re-emerged—shutting down dialogue, intimidating students, and canceling courageous voices like Mosab’s. ➡️ McGill University’s cancellation of Mosab's in-person event—along with ALL student events through the end of the year—is nothing short of cowardice in the face of pro-Hamas threats. The same administration welcomed speakers with pro-Hamas records earlier this semester. This is not security. This is submissi
