In this powerful conversation, Jewish-American rapper, comedian, and filmmaker Kosha Dillz (Rami Matan Even-Esh) joins Stand Tall Israel to discuss his extraordinary journey from addiction and jail to sobriety, music, Jewish identity, and outspoken advocacy for Israel. Born to Israeli parents, Kosha grew up deeply connected to Israel but built his career in the American hip-hop world. Long before October 7, he was openly incorporating his Jewish and Israeli identity into his music — and experiencing the backlash that sometimes came with it. Then October 7 changed everything. Kosha describes learning that his mother's friend's grandchild had been kidnapped, receiving messages and escape footage from followers who had been at the Nova music festival, and going into the studio that same day to record “Bring the Family Home.” That song eventually became something much bigger. His upcoming documentary, Bring the Family Home, follows Kosha through pro-Israel advocacy, college campus encampments, street protests, the hostage movement, antisemitism, cancel culture, and the difficult question of what happens when an artist becomes publicly identified with Israel. Kosha also explains why he believes social media has transformed modern activism — arguing that for many people, “the new drug is likes and views.” We discuss: • Growing up Israeli-American • Addiction, jail, sobriety, and rediscovering Judaism • Being openly Jewish in the hip-hop industry • Antisemitism before and after October 7 • How social media rewards outrage and activism • His personal experience on October 7 • The entertainment industry's reaction to the massacre • The story behind “Bring the Family Home” • Pro-Israel activism on American college campuses • Why his film screening was canceled • Cancel culture surrounding Israeli and Jewish artists • Whether anti-Zionism and antisemitism can truly be separated • Why Kosha now tells people simply: “I’m Israeli” • Building relationships with people who strongly disagree about Israel And at the end of the interview, Kosha closes things out the only way he can — with an original freestyle for Stand Tall Israel. 🎬 Learn more about the film: bringthefamilyhome.film 🎤 Follow Kosha Dillz: koshadillzworld.com Instagram / Spotify: Kosha Dillz If you believe conversations like this matter, subscribe to Stand Tall Israel, share this interview, and join us as we continue bringing you voices from Israel and around the world that deserve to be heard. 🇮🇱 Support Stand Tall Israel Your support helps us continue bringing powerful interviews, firsthand stories, and truthful conversations about Israel, the Middle East, and the fight against antisemitism to millions around the world. 💙 Support our mission or grab official Stand Tall Israel merch: https://standtallisrael.com/ 📩 Sponsorships & Business Inquiries: standtallisrael@gmail.com 🚀 Help This Video Reach Millions Every interaction helps YouTube recommend this interview to more people around the world. 🔥 Hype this video to help it reach an even larger audience. 👍 Like the video. 💬 Leave a comment and join the conversation. 📤 Share this interview with your family and friends. 🔔 Subscribe and turn on notifications so you never miss our latest interviews. 💙 Become a Stand Tall Israel Member to support independent journalism, unlock exclusive perks, and help us bring on more guests, produce more interviews, and continue telling Israel's story without compromise.
