This incident had a profound effect not only the Ba'al Shem Tov but on the future of the Chassidic movement. We also discuss the fateful meeting between the Maggid of Mezrich and the Ba'al Shem Tov. After the Ba'al Shem Tov passed away the Maggid became his successor and was instrumental in the spread of the new movement.
