From Haifa to Los Angeles: A Shinshinit's Prayer for Israel

During Shabbat service, our Shinshinit Lia Packer, a recent high school graduate from Haifa who deferred her IDF service to spend a year with our community, shared a moving reflection on what it means to be far from home during a time of war, before leading us in the Prayer for Israel. We are grateful to Dr. Andy Wachtel and Leslie Wachtel, whose generosity has made Sinai Temple's Shinshin program possible year after year.
