Hashem tells Avraham: “Sodom’s outcry is huge—I’m wiping them out.” Normal reaction? “Finally, justice!” But Abraham steps up and seemingly fights Hashem: “Will You kill the righteous with the wicked?!” Why did he try to save them while endangering more victims? He knew the Flood rule—10 righteous saves everyone. So why bargain from 50 down to 10? Was the man of Chesed suddenly lawyer for monsters who tortured the poor and spilled innocent blood?
