We all have negative beliefs about ourselves, are any of us not critical and/or ashamed of ourselves?? This week, the Torah portion makes it very clear that just when we believe we are not worthy, that is exactly when The Creator is standing by our side waiting for us to take hold of what we deserve. Using pressure and shame to force behaviors are human inventions that come from fear and insecurity. The belief that G-d wants us to feel ashamed of ourselves is categorically incorrect. Shame is neither virtuous nor contructive. And G-d is not a fan of it . . .
