A non-Jew can be taught Torah in the following cases: When there is a Jew present to whom the Torah is being taught, which in that case the non-Jew is considered as merely listening in. If a non-Jew asks a question regarding Torah subjects, one may answer so that he should have a correct perspective of what Jews truly stand for. If someone is seeking to convert to Judaism, we must teach him the responsibilities that would be demanded of him were he to decide to convert.
