There are many potential problems with AI from a religious perspective. The main problem is that as Jews, we value having a live mentor — somebody who is alive, who we can learn from and ask our questions. This is not replaceable by machines. People are not machines; we have feelings, and each of us has our own unique ideas and outlooks, habits, and lifestyles. A live person can relate to all of this, pick up on it, and take it all into account when giving an answer to a question, which will be geared to the person. AI cannot pick up on these subtleties the way a rabbi or mentor who knows the person can, and therefore cannot give a proper Torah answer geared to each specific person in accordance with their unique situation, therefore it is most probable that AI will be way off when giving torah advice.
