Shabbos Away from Family for Personal Growth? | Ask the Rabbi Live with Rabbi Chaim Mintz
42 views · 2 months ago · Halacha, Jewish Life
Occasionally, it is fine for a person to leave their family for Shabbos for their own spiritual growth, if there are older children who can take over, or there is another family they can join for Shabbos so that they too can properly have a Shabbos. However, if there would be nobody who can lead the Shabbos meals and take responsibility, then they definitely shouldn't go. Join us every Tuesday night at 8:30PM, as Oorah's founder, Rabbi Chaim Mintz, delivers a weekly Torah class. Watch it at: https://www.oorah.org/ask-the-rabbi "Ask the Rabbi" begins at 9PM. Watch a fascinating Zoom Q&A session, or jump in and ask your own question on any topic of Jewish interest. You can also submit your questions in advance to asktherabbi@oorah.org.
