Today we dove deep into Megillas Esther chapter 8, verse 3 - and friends, the timing is absolutely incredible. We're reading this on the 23rd day of Sivan, the exact same day that Esther and Mordechai were writing new royal decrees to counter Haman's evil plans. We explored how even after Haman was hung on his own gallows, his dark energy still needed to be eliminated from the world. The Persian law said you can't rescind a royal decree, so instead of just canceling the original death sentence against the Jews, they had to write NEW letters - and these gave the Jewish people permission not just to defend themselves, but to go on the offensive against the forces of darkness. What's fascinating is how Haman lost everything - his life AND all his wealth went straight to Esther, meaning it became Jewish money. We discussed how this entire story is called an 'igeres' - a personal letter - meaning Hashem is writing each of us a personal love letter through this Megillah.
