Story of the Lost Princess

Shalom Aleichem Chevra, welcome back! What if the story of a lost princess is actually the story of your own soul — and you've been sleeping through the rescue mission your whole life? This week we dove into Reb Nachman of Breslov's famous story, the Lost Princess — and Chevra, this one hits different when you really listen. We followed the viceroy on his desperate search to free the king's daughter, who was taken to the place of evil after her father's careless words. The castle looks beautiful, the food is delicious, everything seems fine — but that's exactly the point. Evil doesn't always look like evil from the outside. We talked through the two times the viceroy falls asleep at the worst possible moment — once from eating a beautiful apple on the final day of his year of longing, and the second time after tasting a red spring that smelled like wine. That second sleep? Seventy years. An entire lifetime, gone. And while he's schluffing away, the princess herself comes to him, weeps over him, and writes him a message in her tears on her kerchief — letters he can only read by holding it up to the sun. The soul comes to you, Chevra, but you have to be awake to receive it. From
