The portion of Yitro describes the awesome events surrounding the Giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai and the mass prophetic experience of all Israel. In the Book of Isaiah he describes a prophetic experience of hearing angels praising God: Holy Holy Holy is the Lord of hosts, the whole world is full of his glory. This verse is included in our daily prayers a number of times, indicating its importance. We discuss as well other important parallels between the Giving of the Torah and Isaiah's vision and prophecy.
