Insights into the Weekly Haftorah - Beha'alotcha

The Torah portion begins with instructions to Aaron, the high priest, for how to light the menorah in the Tabernacle. Therefore a section from Zachariah that mentions a vision the prophet had of a golden menorah with olive trees on either side. This Haftarah is also recited on the Shabbat of Hanukkah. It is significant to mention that Zachariah's vision of the menorah with the two olive trees became the official symbol of the State of Israel.
