Insights into the Weekly Haftorah - Korach

Korach led a disastrous rebellion against Moshe's leadership and the Haftorah mirrors Shmuel's feeling that the way that the people asked for "a king like all the other nations" was in a sense a rebellion against his leadership and ultimately God's. Although Shmuel, at God's direction, finally acquiesces to the people's request, in this Haftorah he warns the people not to turn away from the ultimate King, the Holy One Blessed be He. In this class we explore in depth many similarities between Shmuel and Moshe.
