All seven are from the Book of Isaiah. In this Haftarah we see that three of the stanzas of the beloved song Lecha Dodi, sung every Friday night as we welcome Shabbat, are inspired by this reading from Isaiah. Also Isaiah refers to Jerusalem as the holy city, the name still used today when referring to Israel's eternal capital.
