Solomon then has a dream where God comes to him and tells him he can request whatever he wishes and it will be granted. Solomon in great humbleness requests that what he desires more than anything is the proper understanding to judge Israel properly. God is more than impressed and tells him not only will he be granted wisdom like no one before him or after him but all sorts of other material blessings will be coming his way as well. Our class ends with discussing the famous case of the exchanged babies and how Solomon was able to figure out who was the mother of the living child. Due to this his reputation as a wise King spread not only in Israel but throughout the entire world.
