What do we do when life takes us somewhere we never planned to go—and we have no explanation for why? In Chayei Moharan 153, Rebbe Nachman suddenly leaves Breslov on a mysterious journey that no one around him understands. His travels take him through Navritch, Ostroh and eventually Zaslav, as his wife's serious illness turns the journey into a desperate search for healing. The chapter culminates on Erev Shavuot with the heartbreaking passing of Rebbe Nachman's wife. Yet when Reb Nosson and the chassidim gather around him for Shavuot, they merit to hear a wondrous Torah—later recorded as Likkutei Moharan 67.
