The word 'pesal' doesn't just mean to carve, it connects to the shavings, the rejected outer material that Moshe removed to reveal the tablets inside. And here's the jaw-dropping part: Chazal tell us that Moshe became fabulously wealthy from those very shavings. The word 'mammon' — money — is actually encoded in the dimensions and the carvings of the Luchos themselves. So wealth and Torah are not opposites. They were literally born together from the same stone.
