One wrong turn by Israel in the wilderness led to a forty year detour. Shelach (Numbers 13:1 - 15:41) Parashat Shelach is read on Shabbat: Sivan 21, 5786/June 6, 2026 Israel is currently one parashah ahead of the diaspora, (where parashat Beha'alotcha is being read this Shabbat).
