Parashat Terumah 5786 | Who Needs the Holy Temple?
7.6K views · 6 months ago · Parsha, Torah
Is the Holy Temple an ancient relic of a bygone era — or is it the missing center of our world? In this week's portion of Parashat Terumah, the Torah introduces the Divine commandment to build a Sanctuary: “And they shall make for Me a Sanctuary, and I will dwell among them” (Ex. 25:8). But what does this really mean? Does the Creator of heaven and earth need a house? And what relevance could the Temple possibly have in the modern world? The Torah portion of Terumah ( Exodus 25 : 1 - 27 : 19 ) is read on Shabbat, 4 Adar 5786 - February 21, 2026 Original music composed and performed by David Schommer and Dave Eggar Lovingly Recorded in Ora Studios, Jerusalem Israel _________ Rabbi Chaim Richman Jerusalem Lights | Torah for Everyone Please support the work of Jerusalem Lights, Inc., a USA recognized 501 ( c ) 3 non-profit organization to enable these productions to continue and grow: PayPal: infojerusalemlights@gmail.com or: https://paypal.me/JerusalemLights?locale.x=en_US In the USA: Jerusalem Lights Inc.
