[VIDEO] 4th time in Eight Hours Cheerfully Sheltering in our Family’s Safe Room in Israel

The sirens started blaring their sinister wail at 2:10am this morning and Susan Lapin and I joined our daughter and son in law as we trudged down to the ‘safe-room’ where we sat bleary-eyed for ten minutes as the Iron Dome system obliterated missiles overhead.  Then again at 4am, repeat. I am not sure I even fully woke up for the event. Again sirens went off at 8:20am and again at 10:45am.  The resilience of the children here is notable.  From 15 year-old Eitan planning already for his army stint soon, all the way down to eighteen-month old Esther Rena; this is routine already.  I cannot say the same for me! As inconvenienced as we are by this enforced extension to what had been planned as our brief Israel trip, we are strangely happy to be sharing in these worrying times with friends and family. ──────── Enjoyed this teaching?
