Your Problem Already Has a Solution

There’s a terrible sunken hole right in front of Lowe’s on Rockaway Turnpike. Everyone knows about it. Nobody does anything about it. And yet, all the materials needed to fix it are literally steps away inside Lowe’s. There’s an expression that Hashem delivers the cure before the wound. The solution is already in the world before the problem. We have to identify it and employ it, but we don’t have to make it exist. It already exists. People say there are unique challenges facing us in 2026 that never existed before. That may be true. But if they are problems, then the solutions were already given before those problems arose. Rabbi Shais Taub explains how guidance the Rebbe gave in the 1960s may be even more applicable today. One level of freedom is learning Torah while the phone rings and choosing not to answer it.
